During the past year, the state of the modern workplace has drastically changed. Bay Area businesses went from office spaces to home offices and from in-person meetings to video conferencing. But when our NextRoll team transitioned away from our San Francisco HQ and out of our other four offices, supporting our people and upholding connections between coworkers remained a top priority.

It’s this continued focus on culture, people, and flexibility that placed NextRoll on the San Francisco Business Times’ “Best Places to Work in the Bay Area” list for the eighth year in 2021! Our recognition is based on survey results from NextRoll employees who rated us on values like a collaborative culture, compensation and benefits, and management practices.

To celebrate eight years as one of the “Best Place to Work in the Bay Area,” we spoke with eight different Rollers and asked:

What do you love about working at NextRoll?

Katie Dunn, Demand Generation Manager (San Francisco)

I’ve worked at NextRoll for four years, and it never ceases to amaze me its hyper focus on hiring great people, giving them the opportunity to grow and develop their skills, and making it an amazing place to work. There is truly a cohesive culture here at NextRoll that is diverse, fun, and dynamic.

Brujo Benavides, Staff Engineer (Remote, Spain)

One of the things I love the most about working at NextRoll is the freedom I have to organize my schedule and my tasks to reach both the company and my personal goals.

I feel that NextRoll puts its trust in me as a professional, and I know my contributions are valued.

Stephanie Franklin, Sr. Customer Success Account Manager (San Francisco)

I love the flexibility of working at NextRoll. It allows me to work with wonderful people while providing an outlet to live a life outside of work.

The relationships I have formed both professionally and personally have enhanced my growth. I haven’t experienced this balance at a company in a long time.

Phil Carney, Manager I, Account Management in Customer Success Leadership (New York)

NextRoll excels in investing in their employee’s professional and personal development. Throughout my time here, I have been impressed by both the opportunities for advancement as well as the chance to explore cross-functional areas of interest to broaden employee’s experience and exposure across different parts of the business.

Anna Corso, Customer Success Strategist (Dublin, Ireland)

I started my new role as a Customer Success Strategist in AdRoll, in January 2021, and I was a bit worried because starting a new job remotely is not really easy to do! I have to say that the onboarding process was great, and my manager Skyler and the CS team supported me a lot! What do I love about working at NextRoll? I like the sense of belonging and the fact that each person’s ideas matter. We are all involved in different projects, we constantly help each other grow in the same direction, and the fun part is also an important factor in the company!! Since I started, I attended different workshops and activities that helped me integrate with the team and with all the Dublin office’s colleagues.

Carson Fackrell, Agency New Business Account Executive (Salt Lake City)

I love working at NextRoll, because I have control over an amazing work-life balance that provides an incredible life outside of work for my family based on the hard work I do inside the workplace.

Also having a truly great leader as my manager who provides clear insights and expectations while letting myself be free and able to do my job how I know best.

Most importantly, NextRoll gave me a chance to succeed. Over the years, the company, my manager, and my team have been there through the ups and downs, and they helped my sales career soar.

Sophia Luu, Account Manager (Sydney, Australia)

Having worked at NextRoll for four years, there’s nothing I love more than the growth culture! There is an endless amount of support both from management, peers, and programs within the company to truly reach your potential. With all that’s been happening in the past year, we’ve also seen the company’s flexibility in a way that ensures we have enough space to continue developing outside of our day to day jobs.

Ryan Allen-McGuire, New Business Account Executive (Remote, California)

Although I’m new, what I love about working here and what attracted me to NextRoll – which seems to be a common thread throughout the company – is the genuineness felt from peers, all the way up to leadership. Everybody is kind and willing to help, and you can feel that throughout every interaction. The culture isn’t a smoke show, it really is an all inclusive place to be.
