Whether on social media or across the web, marketers are seeing a big opportunity to share their message in a way that matches how people browse online. What makes native ads so effective is their ability to fit in with a site’s natural experience, usually through sponsored posts or content recommendations.

Native ads exist everywhere. You can use them on social media, like Facebook and Instagram, or across a variety of publishers and sites on the web. This year, we decided to ask over 500 marketers to share their thoughts on native ads. Here are five ways they are thinking about native ads in 2017:

  • 64% of marketers feel native ads are more viewable than traditional display.
  • Most marketers plan to spend at least $5,000 on native ads.
  • Performance is the most important factor in deciding whether to use native ads.
  • 69% of marketers plan to run native ads on Facebook.
  • 82% of marketers plan to maintain or increase their budget for Facebook.
