We certainly hit the ground running when I joined AdRoll last year, and we haven’t stopped running since. What began as an heady announcement of our plans to build a team of 100 people in Ireland at the Dublin Web Summit in October, 2013, has become a reality that has outstripped all of our expectations.

We started out with four people in one room of a serviced office, and quickly outgrew our surroundings. When we relocated to a couple of levels of a building on Dublin’s St Stephens Green, I thought we’d be able to call it home for a while. But before everyone got a chance to figure out the best cycle routes to the office, it was obvious that we’d need to go on the hunt again.

Our nomadic existence is an unusual but happy side-effect of the wealth of talent we’ve found in Ireland, and the amazing response we’ve had from the EMEA market. Such has been the calibre of the candidates we’ve met, we had to snap them up as soon as we met them. We are up to 45 now in just a few short months, and it’s becoming a bit of a challenge to find desk space for all our new arrivals.

We are going to be cosy for another wee while as our new 10,349 square-foot office at Burlington Plaza is being refurbished, and we expect to move to our new home in June.

Our new space near the city centre will see us through to fulfilling our ambitions to have a large, high-performing, multilingual team in Dublin to support our customers across EMEA.

In the meantime, we are being made feel very welcome here in Ireland. In fact, I had the chance to get a selfie with the Irish Prime Minister, Taoiseach Enda Kenny, during a National Employment Week event in March.

We’re still on the hunt for the best and brightest Europe has to offer, so let us know if you’re looking to be a part of something special in Dublin.

Keep Rollin’,
