This year, AdRoll was ranked among the top large companies in the Bay Area by San Francisco Business Times’ Best Places to Work. It’s the fourth time that AdRoll has made SF Business Times’ distinctive list. It’s incredible to know that as we continue to grow and scale our global footprint, our team and culture remain stronger than ever. The results of this award are determined by an anonymous, voluntary survey from actual employees across various companies, so I’m particularly proud and honored that we continue to be recognized as a workplace where our own employees feel empowered and are constantly challenged and engaged.

One of our core values is to hire great people and help them grow. We invest heavily in our Rollers’ development and have focused specifically on programs in which our employees find true value. Among those are:

  • A 6-month manager training series on foundational management
  • Electives for all Rollers on a range of high-impact skills including “The Power of Authenticity” and “Crucial Conversations”
  • A specialized cohort of our senior leadership that strives to build strong and high-performing teams
  • Mobility and cross-functional programs allowing for career growth and expansion of day-to-day roles

Additionally, we recently created the first cohort for AdRoll’s Women in Leadership program—a formalized, six-month coaching series for our rising female leaders. In this program, participants learn how to increase visibility, network across different environments, and gain access to senior mentorship. I’m especially passionate about this development program as I serve as one of the executive sponsors, and am excited to announce that we just kicked off our second cohort last week.

Here at AdRoll, we appreciate that work isn’t all about work. We want our people to feel their best so they can perform at their best. There are many aspects that make AdRoll’s culture unique. Among our various perks, employees especially enjoy our global Spirit Week, where all Rollers compete in friendly competitions as teams. They also enjoy Hack Week once per quarter for Engineering, an annual “Summer Day” where we provide Outside Lands tickets for Rollers to enjoy music and one another’s company, homegrown activities like VinoRoll (wine club) and RollWell (Wellness Initiative), and a pet-friendly workplace with an annual year-end dog and cat show. Like most other startups, we also have an open and collaborative office with sit-stand desks, arcade games, ping-pong, and healthy snacks.

There are many other factors that make AdRoll’s culture special. From our community outreach program, AdRoll Gives Back (in which I play a direct role on our internal board), to our sports teams and culture club, AdRoll is a place to grow both personally and professionally. We are thrilled the San Francisco Business Times has recognized this quality in us again.
